Waller Creek Conservancy, together with the City of Austin, broke ground in Sept. 2017 on the Waller Creek chain of parks. The parks will be active places for all of Austin to enjoy and that includes food. Two public feedback sessions will be held in February on Thursday, 2/22 and Saturday, 2/24 to collect the community’s input on what food options and experiences are preferred.
Through a series of interactive activities, attendees will have the opportunity to share comments on their preferred dining experience and menu. Attendees will also hear a project update on Waterloo Park, which is currently under construction.
Food and refreshments will be served and activities for children will be provided. Attendees can enjoy a free food tasting and cooking demonstration. Spanish interpretation will be available at the Saturday meeting.
Voter registration will be offered by the League of Women Voters. In addition, Waller Creek Conservancy will be collecting food donations at both public meeting sessions, benefiting the Central Texas Food Bank.
